The presentation will discuss three related topics as follows:
Firstly, a personal case study of collaborative work in higher education between three UK Universities.
Secondly current involvement of Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in collaborative programmes with European consortia of higher education.
The third topic in my talk will be new digital media and their potential value as an infrastructure for future distance learning. This will largely be based on research experience of media technology in the USA.
Finally, the talk will end with some suggestions for a strategy for future collaboration between European institutions of higher education.
