Technology and Economics : strong interactionsThe telecommunications sector has undergone a thorough transformation over the last several years. In the field of Information and communications Technology, the impact of innovation is such that economic and social organizations (markets, companies, etc...) are constantly influenced by the powerful effects of dismantling and restructuring. Interaction between the technological, economic and human parameters often hinders the move towards change in companies and markets and has a similar curbing effect on living and consumption styles.
The domain covered by the Department concerns the organization of markets (at a macroeconomic level) as well as the internal organization of companies (a microeconomic approach at production unit level). It includes the methodology of statistical tools, and data bases involved in the quantitative approach to Industrial Economics.
