ENG-FRA
French-English
subnet in the International
E-Mail Tandem Network.
If you speak perfect
French and are learning English, or the other way around, then
this is the right subnet for you.
How you can
participate
- First of all, ask
the Tandem Team for a Tandem Partner.
Write to the following address:
tandem@slf.ruhr-uni-bochum.de
the following message: "ENG-FRA. My native language
is English. I'm learning French. (or My native language
is French I'm learning English.) My name is...." As
soon as you get a partner, you can begin to correspond
with him or her.
A second thing to do
is:
- Subscribe to the ENG-FRA
Discussion Forum, in which you can discuss all
kinds of topics with others in English and French. This
is where your message goes to a group of about 200 people
who are all interested in English and French and the
people who speak these languages. It's a great place to
ask questions about life "over there". We also
exchange ideas about how best to work with your Tandem
Partners and news about interesting English and French
websites! Send an email message to the following address:
majordomo@tandem.uni-trier.de
with the following message (without quotation marks):
"SUBSCRIBE ENG-FRA"
- After your
application has been processed, introduce
yourself to the forum. Send a short letter about
yourself to the forum address.
ENG-FRA@tandem.uni-trier.de
preferably in both languages. In the subject please put
"Introduction" and your name.
Through the forum and
from the Tandem team "dating agency" you will receive
further tips concerning tandem learning with your partner and
participation in the forum. But we'd also like to answer some of
your most common questions here.
And now for some interesting English and
French Links.
You're also very welcome to contact one of the two subnet
co-ordinators below....
