Introduction
Working together with a partner
in e-mail tandem may be quite similar to a pen friendship
but it is not the same. Not even when it concerns e-mail letters.
Like in a pen friendship,
- both partners are usually
from different countries
- the partners truly
communicate with one another:
- they write about
themselves and want to know all about each other
- they definitely
determine themsleves what they want to write
about
Differing from a pen
friendship,
- in a tandem partnership
learning from each other is always the
priority with both partners. Therefore,
- fundamentally,
both languages are equally used side-by-side.
- reciprocal
grammatical and linguisitic help plays a stronger
role.
As a tandem learner you are
responsible for your own learning, but your partner supports you
in your learning process.
To help you profit optimally
from your work together, we have compiled a list of explanations
and tips for you.
