Biography
My childhood had began in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1964. Nothing was interesting
from there until I started my educational life in the faculty of Engineering,
King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, in 1982. I left KMITL by the
end of 1986, with a Electronic Engineering Diplome and earned by myself, the
first year after my university education, at Telephone Organization of
Thailand. In 1987, I had changed my job, due to my eagerness to reach the sky,
to Thai Airways Ltd. My educational life began again in the mid 1990 when
I had won a National Scientific Foundation's test. As the result, from there
until now, I am the first year doctoral student at Telecom-Paris, under the
direction of Mr. Alain GRUMBACH and Mr. Martin RAJMAN in AI research group of
Computer Science Department. My current research is focussing on Knowledge
Representation and Information Extraction Techniques for large scale of Natural
Language Text, applied particularly in Information Retrieval domain.

Distributional Semantics : Application to Information Retrieval from
Large Textual Databases
My research concerns the development of semantic models for
textual document retrieval systems. The models we are focussing
on take place in framework based on a "distributional semantics"
where semantic proximities are derived from co-frequency matrices
computed on large textual corpora.
The queries and documents are represented in an unified way as
projections in a vector space of pertinent terms. Different
similarity measures will be tested to characterize the proximity
between queries and documents.
