English-German subnet of the International E-Mail Tandem Network

If you speak perfect German and are learning English, or the other way around, then this is the right subnet for you. - RIBO-L was founded by the University of Rhode Island (USA) and the Ruhr-University BOchum (Germany) in 1992 – thus the name.

How you can participate

First of all, apply to the central Tandem 'Dating Agency'. Write to the following address:
tandem@slf.ruhr-uni-bochum.de
the following message: "RIBO-L. My native language is English. I'm learning German. My name is...." As soon as you get a partner, you can correspond with him or her.
Apply to the Forum RIBO-L, in which you can discuss all kinds of topics with others in English and German. Write to the following address:
listserv@uriacc.uri.edu
the following message (without quotation marks): "SUBSCRIBE RIBO-L First name Last name"
After your application has been processed, introduce yourself in the forum. Send a short letter about yourself to the forum address
RIBO-L@uriacc.uri.edu
– preferably in both languages.

Wenn Sie Deutsch als Erstsprache sprechen und Englisch lernen wollen oder umgekehrt, dann ist dies das richtige Teilnetz für Sie. - RIBO-L wurde 1992 von den Universitäten Rhode Island (USA) und Bochum (Deutschland) gegründet - daher der Name.

Wie Sie mitmachen können

Melden Sie sich zuerst bei der zentralen Partnervermittlung an. Schreiben Sie an die Adresse

folgende Nachricht: "RIBO-L. Meine Erstsprache ist Deutsch. Ich lerne Englisch. Mein Name ist ....". Sobald Sie eine Partnerin oder einen Partner haben, nehmen Sie mit ihr bzw. ihm Kontakt auf.
Melden Sie sich dann für das Forum RIBO-L an, wo Sie mit vielen anderen auf deutsch und auf englisch über alles Mögliche diskutieren können: Schreiben Sie an die Adresse
